The 2025 Ghana Broadcasting Corporation (GBC) Marketing Conference has brought together industry leaders, Advertisers, and Marketing professionals to discuss the future of media and advertising in Ghana. Among the distinguished speakers was Mr. Emmanuel Odoom, General Manager of FutureBrands Advertising and PR, who delivered an insightful presentation on "Advertiser Expectations and Effective Pitching."
Mr. Odoom shared the stage with two other notable thought leaders: Prof. Robert Hinson, Pro Vice-Chancellor of the Ghana Communications Technology University (GCTU), who spoke on “Personal Excellence as a Pathway for Organisational Excellence,” and Priscilla Wellinton, CEO of Customer Service Africa and a Hospitality Consultant, who addressed the topic “Enhancing Customer Experience at GBC with a Mystery Shopper Insight.”
Drawing from years of experience in media strategy and advertising, Mr. Emmanuel Odoom emphasized the transformative power of Audience reach, Data-driven decisions, and Innovation in today’s competitive advertising landscape.
“Advertisers no longer seek mere visibility; they demand meaningful connections with their target audiences,” said Mr. Odoom. “Understanding who there are, where they are, what they consume, and how they behave has become the foundation of effective campaigns. It’s about reaching the right audience, not just the largest audience.”
Mr. Emmanuel Odoom highlighted critical shifts in media consumption habits, pointing to the rise of digital platforms and the integration of traditional and new media as key drivers of engagement. “Data is the advertiser’s compass. It guides strategy, optimizes budgets, and measures impact. Without it, campaigns are left navigating blindly,” he explained, reinforcing the importance of analytics and transparent reporting.
The presentation also underscored the role of innovation in breaking through advertising clutter. “Consumers today are drawn to creative, immersive experiences. By leveraging tools like augmented reality and digital brand integration, we create campaigns that resonate deeply and deliver measurable results,” Mr. Odoom added.
The audience, comprising top executives from various industries, applauded the practical insights and forward-thinking strategies shared by Mr. Emmanuel Odoom, Prof. Robert Hinson, and Mrs. Priscilla Wellinton. The session closed with a lively Q&A, where attendees discussed the challenges of media buying, optimizing advertising ROI, and harnessing emerging technologies.
FutureBrands Advertising and PR continues to lead the way in crafting innovative, data-driven media solutions, empowering businesses to thrive in a dynamic market.
