The Ghana League Cubs Association has decided to christen this year’s top 4 tournament after the late GFA Vice president Jordan Anagblah who was buried on Saturday here in Accra.
The league governing body settled on playing the top 4 as against the G 8 competition played last season.
This means that Premier League champions Asante Kotoko, Ashanti Gold, Hearts of Oak and Medeama SC will compete in honour of the former executive committee member of GHALCA, who died at age 55 after a short illness.
Chairman of GHALCA Alhaji Raji explained to JOY Sports, this initiative by the association formed part of their efforts to immortalize the name of the late Jordan Anagblah.
“This is in line to appreciate and immortalize the achievements of the late Jordan Anagblah as far as GHALCA is concerned. When he became the vice president of the GFA his role as a member of GHALCA never diminished. We will always remember him and try to immortalize his name”.
Jordan Anagblah died at the age of 55.
