Black Queens coach Yusif Basigi believes his side is battle ready for Wednesday's All African Games opener against South Africa.
The Queens, who won silver in Maputo, want to go one better and are confident of achieving this feat. Basigi believes having prior knowledge of his opponents gives his side an edge.
“After having watched South Africa against the Cameroonians, we have got a fair idea of our opponents’ especially South Africa who are our first opponents," he told Joy Sports.
“I think it has geared the girls up and you can see they have lifted up their game as compared to when we came.”
Meanwhile, captain Mercy Myles is also confident of starting on the right foot for the country.
“It is the All African Games. The components are very rich. We went to see the South African game against Cameroon and this tells it all.”
“We are very ready and we have to go all out.”
After this game, the Queens face Cameroon which will serve the Ghanaians a chance to avenge last month's two-legged defeat in Accra.
The loss denied Ghana a chance in the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro
