Popular Ghanaian boxer Braimah Kamoko popularly known as Bukom Banku has hinted his desire of becoming a member of parliament.
The world title aspirant wants to follow the example set by the world’s best pound for pound fighter Manny Pacquiao who is in the House of Lords in the Philippines.
Bukom Banku in an interview with JOY Sports stated his ambition to contest the Odododiodio parliamentary seat in Accra in the 2012 general elections.
“I have not been to school before but I will use my intelligence to help my people at Odododiodio if they give me the nod to represent them in parliament”.
The WBO African champion is not happy with the level of development in his constituency and he believes he can do a better job than incumbent Jonathan Nii Tackie Commey.
According to him, he will combine his profession as a boxer and parliamentarian to help Ghana.
Banku is set to receive WBO African boxer of the year 2011 at a ceremony slated in Accra this Saturday November 26 at 7pm.
