Ghana’s Sports Minister Clement Kofi Humado will hold crisis meeting with the Football Association on Wednesday following the country’s slide in international matches.
This year has been dreadful for junior national teams who have burned and crashed in competitive matches.
Ghana will not be represented at the 2012 London Olympic Games due to the failure of the Black Meteors and the Black Queens to book a passage in the next phase of the qualifiers.
The Local Black Stars were shamefully bundled out of the 2011 CHAN tournament in Sudan while the national Under-17 team failed to qualify for the African U-17 Championship.
Last Sunday, the Black Satellites were the latest to compound the misery after exiting in the group phase of the ongoing African Youth Championship in South Africa.
The Sports Minister will be seeking answers from the federation as the two parties meet on Wednesday.
“The minister will be meeting up with the GFA to find out what has hit the national teams because the situation is very worrying for football loving fans and he’s determined to find out what’s happening,” Sports Ministry Public Relations Officer Michael Akwasi Sarpong said.
“The meeting will be held in a cordial atmosphere because we’re all stakeholders and so should be worried at the latest trend.”
