The three, are symptoms of the deadly pneumococcal meningitis disease which has claimed over 30 lives across three regions in Ghana and hospitalised over a 100 others.

Dr Asiedu Bekoe said the Service is concentrating on early reporting and application of antibiotics as a way of saving the lives of some of the affected persons.
Moves have however began towards acquiring vials of the pneumococcal meningitis vaccines as the health service steps up efforts contain the current outbreak of the disease in three regions of the country.
Health Minister, Alex Segbefia says the Ministry has identified a company that could deliver the vaccines in the shortest possible time and will be procured through sole sourcing.
Dr Franklin Asiedu Bekoe explained that the service is still examining the vaccines to be sure that the ones the ministry is going can cure the disease.
