The Ghana Ports and Harbours Authority (GPHA) Fire and Safety team made a thrilling comeback on Saturday, clinching the LCB Super Cup Final with a 2-1 victory over the Ghana Union of Traders Association (GUTA) team.
Both teams earned their place in the final by winning their respective zones in the LCB Corporate Tournament. The GPHA Fire team emerged as champions of the Tema Zone, while the GUTA team took the Accra Zone title.
The GUTA team took an early lead, controlling the first half of the game. However, the GPHA Fire team rallied in the second half, levelling the score before taking the lead with a second goal. They dominated much of the game from that point on, securing their hard-fought victory.
The LCB Super Cup is an annual tournament organized by Crisis Management Solutions Company, LCB Worldwide Ghana, a key partner in port disinfection services since 2018. The event aims to strengthen solidarity among key stakeholders in the port and maritime industry.
During the closing ceremony, representatives from LCB Worldwide reiterated their commitment to fostering sustainable, healthy trade practices through strong stakeholder collaboration.
Felix Segbeja, the Officer of Operations at LCB Worldwide Ghana, expressed satisfaction that the tournament's objectives had been successfully met.
Philomena Ocloo, Supervisor of Operations at LCB Worldwide Ghana, shared her delight with the success of the Super Cup.
