A 38-year-old Teacher, Samuel Senyoh Ahiagbenyo of the New Era Academy School at Adenta in Accra on Sunday committed suicide in his bedroom.
Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP)Happy Michael Addae, Madina District Police Crime Officer, told the Ghana News Agency that Ahiagbenyo committed suicide in his bedroom at Atiman, a suburb of Madina in Accra with a nylon twine.
He said the deceased’s wife who had gone to take her bath returned to see the husband’s body hanging on one of the roofing beams.
DSP Addae said the deceased left no suicide note behind.
Ahiagbenyo was the Headmaster of the School and had taught in the academic facility for the past 17 years.
His body has been deposited at the Ghana Police Service morgue pending autopsy.
