A 35-year-old resident of Hohoe who was allegedly assaulted by armed military men in the Hohoe Municipality is crying for justice.
Jasper Amuzu who works as a driver’s mate together with his boss was allegedly assaulted by the military men last Tuesday when they were accused of breaching the curfew which was imposed on the town in the wake of violent communal clashes in June.
Speaking to Joy News after the assault, Jasper said, on that day they attempted fleeing the town few minutes to the curfew hours only to be stopped by a military patrol team who brutalized them for breaching the curfew hours.
He added that after the first team had attacked them near the Bia Police Station in the Hohoe Municipality, they encountered another team of military men who also assaulted them some few meters from Lolobi.
According to Amuzu, the brutal assault left him without three of his front teeth and also bodily pains.
