Embattled Deputy Trades Minister, Carlos Ahenkorah says he is sorry for his verbal assault on opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) Parliamentarian, Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa.
"I am sorry, it will not happen again", the Deputy Minister said in an interview with Kwami Sefa Kayi on Peace FM, Thursday
The Deputy Minister, who has been accused of using the Presidency for profiteering, interrupted Okudzeto's interview with the media after the NDC MP demanded a probe into the matter.
A fuming Carlos Ahenkorah who is also Tema West MP called the North Tongu MP a liar, a thief who has been stealing throughout his life.
His emotional outburst has been condemned and his actions in the profiteering saga have since come under greater scrutiny.
Carlos Ahenkorah admitted his actions are disappointing and unbecoming of an MP who should serve as a role model in public discourse.
"I don't think I will be led to that point anymore," he begged. The Deputy Minister also pleaded with Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa to clean up his politics.
"Let's do straight politics," he said.
The incident is the second time the first-time MP has lost his cool. In September, he attacked an engineer with the Tema Metropolitan Assembly who was supervising the demolition of unauthorized structures.

The TMA slapped a six-month ban on the MP but lifted it after pleas from the MCE. Carlos Ahenkorah refused to apologise for the attack on the engineer carrying out lawful work.
