Hundreds of Ghanaians have taken part in a peace march in Accra to promote peace before and after the 2012 general elections. The march was organized by a Cape Coast-based group calling itself the Movement for a Peaceful Ghana. Organizers said the march, which took them through some principal streets in Accra, was intended to promote peace in the country in the run-up to the 2012 polls. The group converged at the Hearts Park near the Arts Centre in Accra after the march where they presented their 'message' to the Deputy Chief of Staff, Alex Segbefia, and Director of Communications at the Presidency, Koku Anyidoho.
