Former Ghana international, Kevin-Prince Boateng, says he has decided not to take up coaching because of his bad temperament.
Unlike many footballers who decide to go into coaching after retirement, Boateng has decided to stay in the sector but in a different capacity.
Boateng was understudying manager Felix Magath after his return to Hertha Berlin in 2021.
He has, however, stepped into a role that would see him mentor young footballers with the launch of his player agency, Rookie & Champ.
"I always wanted to be a coach, but then I discovered I didn't have enough patience," he told Transfer Room.
The 38-year-old also explained the idea behind his decision to go the agency path.
"I've had a lot of agents, some good and some bad. I know how it works. If you're given the wrong direction, it can sometimes be very, very difficult. So I told myself I'd love to help young players, put them on the right path, show them what's important, and keep them grounded as much as possible," he added.
