AC Milan midfielder Michael Essien has been ruled out of football action for the next two weeks.
The Ghana international sustained a foot injury in the build-up to the fixture against Kwadwo Asamoah’s Juventus and eventually missed the 1-0 defeat to the Italian Champions.
Essien has not been named by Pippo Inzaghi’s 23-man squad to face Empoli and will miss the trip to the Stadio Carlo Castellani.
Michael Essien has had limited playing time with Italian club AC Milan mostly sharing the full game duration with international team-mate Sulley Ali Muntari.
