Two coveted gospel music stars Joe Mettle and Celestine Donkor are billed to lead a praise and worship concert as the Church of Pentecost Mataheko English Assembly marks its 5th anniversary from February 28 to March 4, 2018.
The musicians will be joined by evangelist Lord Kenya whose conversion story from secular music remains a must-listened to testimony. Lord Kenya will share his story on March 1.
Joe Mettle, who will perform on Friday, March 2, in a promo video told worshippers to expect a time of renewed intimacy with God. For many who consume his work, it is an expectation that has been proven true time and time again.
Bubbly and true to her roots Celestine Donkor, who will perform on February 28, has promised a sample of her popular songs with an audience that you can expect will e singing along with cheeky ease. Talented urban gospel musician Kobby Salm and the Evergreen Choir will also be performing at the anniversary.
The star-studded appearance is icing on the anniversary cake of a church forged by prayer and self-sacrifice to create an authentic Christian identity in Mataheko, a dense suburb in Accra.
And while the music screens the life of a man's soul, health professionals will later screen a man's body in a free health check for the community.
The church eager for community work also plans to register 200 children on the National Health Insurance Scheme.
Indoors, the church will play games and outdoors, the church will clean the streets in a massive sanitation exercise.
