Joy FM has in collaboration with Glory Oil and Enoc Oil rewarded a cross section of stickered cars and people who pledged and participated in the station’s campaign for safety on the roads.
Some 150 gallons of fuel as well as other products like lubricants were distributed to lucky participants, who among other things committed to the use of seat belts, encourage their passengers to use seat belts, avoid their phones while driving, avoid drink driving and to observe speed limits.
The Joy FM Road Safety campaign was launched in November 2011 in collaboration with Newmont Ghana, Vodafone Ghana, Glory Oil, Enoc Oil, Cowbell from Promasidor Ghana, C. Woermann Ghana Ltd with the support of the Driver and Vehicle Licensing Authority (DVLA), Motor Traffic and Transport Unit (MTTU), Ghana Private Road Transport Union (GPRTU), National Road Safety Commission and the Ministry of Transport.
