Joy Prime’s flagship current affairs programme, Prime Insight, is set to host a high‑level political and economic discussion this Saturday, January 24, with a focus on the New Patriotic Party’s (NPP) peace pact and calls for unity, as well as the recent drop in fuel prices and the COMAC–Star Oil disagreement.

The programme, which airs from 7:00am to 9:00am, will bring together key political actors and policy communicators from across the political divide to provide analysis and perspectives on issues currently shaping Ghana’s political climate and energy sector.
Distinguished Guest Line‑up
Scheduled to appear on the show are:
- Dr Stephen Amoah, Member of Parliament for Nhyiaeso
- Kofi Tonto, Political Aide to Dr Mahamudu Bawumia
- Solomon Owusu, Director of Communications, United Party
- Duncan Amoah, Executive Secretary of the Chamber of Petroleum Consumers (COPEC)
The discussion will be moderated by Blessed Sogah, host of Prime Insight.
Focus on Political Unity
One of the central themes of the programme will be the NPP peace pact, an initiative aimed at promoting internal cohesion, peaceful political engagement, and unity among party supporters and the wider electorate. Panelists are expected to examine the significance of the pact, its implications for national stability, and whether similar commitments should be adopted across the political spectrum.
Fuel Prices and Energy Sector Tensions
The second major topic will address the recent reduction in fuel prices, a development that has been welcomed by consumers but has also sparked debate within the downstream petroleum sector. Particular attention will be paid to the ongoing disagreement between COMAC and Star Oil, with Duncan Amoah of COPEC expected to provide consumer‑focused insights into pricing structures, regulation, and transparency.
Prime Insight airs live on Joy Prime TV, available on DStv channel 281 and GOtv channel 124, and is also streamed across Joy Prime’s social media platforms.
