Former Ghana international, Michael Essien, has granted an exclusive to Joy Sports Editor, Fentuo Tahiru Fentuo, opening up on his journey as a coach at Danish club FC Nordsjalland.
Essien, 41, since his retirement, has been working with the Super Liga side since 2020, where he serves as an Individual Player Coach, helping nurture the next generation of football talent.

The 2008 Champions League winner, who rarely grants interviews, received Fentuo at the club’s Right to Dream Park in Farum, just outside of Copenhagen, where he spoke about a range of topics including his coaching career, his time as a Black Stars player and helping in shaping the next generation of players to come out of the club.
The interview airs on Friday, September 20 at 7:10 AM on the Joy News Channel, and on Saturday at 6 pm on the Joy Prime Channel.
