Pop star Justin Bieber has set a new charity record after becoming the first recording artist to make 200 dreams come true through the Make-A-Wish Foundation.
The Baby hitmaker broke the organisation's record on Saturday (10Aug13) when he met with eight-year-old Annalysha Brown-Rafanan, who suffers from a life-threatening liver condition, in Atlanta, Georgia.
Annalysha went backstage at the city's Philips Arena after watching the singer in concert and met with Bieber on the last stop on the North American leg of his Believe Tour.
In a post on his Twitter.com page after the meeting, Bieber writes, "Make-A-Wish (I was) honored (sic) yesterday. One of the best moments I've ever had. Thank u (sic). Looking forward to doing more together. Thanks."
David Williams, president and Ceo of Make-A-Wish America, says, "Despite his relentless schedule, Justin has been genuinely committed to granting wishes since the very beginning and a strong supporter of Make-A-Wish. Justin understands the impact on a child of a wish-come-true and how it can create positive changes in their outlook, help them feel better, and even influence their health."
