Pupils of the Kalvio Basic School in the Kasena-Nankana West District of the Upper East region no longer have to sit on the bare classroom floors for lessons.
This is because collaboration between a community-based organization known as '1 Cedi 4 Change' and Joy FM, to get furniture for the school has yielded positive results.

The school which had no furniture before the campaign can now boast of 63 galvanized dual desks after the two organizations embarked on the “sit a child” project.
