Lawyer for Justin Katinan, ally of Former Ivorian President Laurent Gbagbo says his client his ready for the extradition process.
Government has hinted it will begin the process to extradite the ally of the former Ivorian President and has pleaded with the Osu magistrate court to fix a definite date to enable the process to begin.
Mr. Katina is being held for alleged involvement in the chaos that followed the election in Ivory Coast.
All documents for his extradition were filed on December 18, 2012.
Lawyer for Katinan, Patrick Sogbodjor wants the process to begin in due time.
He said they are yet to see the documentation of the extradition process, adding they cannot wait till eternity for the process to begin.
“We are ever ready whenever the state is willing to start we will meet them fairly and squarely but bear in mind that this process cannot last ad- infinitum. It cannot go on forever.
“At the right time if the necessary thing is not done we will advice ourselves,” he said.
