Blackpool and Ghana goalkeeper Richard Kingson is in the squad for Tuesday night’s game against Manchester United in the English Premier League.
He was a major doubt for the game because of a head injury he suffered against Sunderland on Saturday but he is among the players being considered for the starting team.
This means the Ghana shot-stopper has made a quicker-than-expected return from the injury.
He had eight stitches which had led to a bump on his face but he has bravely declared himself ready for the Manchester United clash.
“I am fit to play so I am waiting for the coach and medical team to decide if it is wise for me. Otherwise I am ready,” Kingson told Ghanasoccernet.com exclusively.
He could be handed the starting place if coach Ian Holloway wants to play him.
Kingson was substituted in the second half of their match against Sunderland after he was caught by the boot of Bolo Zenden when diving bravely to the feet of the Sunderland midfielder on Saturday.
But Paul Rachubka who was more than an able deputy for the Ghanaian is hoping he did enough to get the starting slot.
