The Kokomba Students Union is calling for a ceasefire in the ethnic violence between Kokombas and Bimobas in the Northern region.
Members of the Union want people of the area to give peace a chance in order to restore a congenial co-existence of the two ethnic groups.
Vice President of the union, Abukari Godwin Ndanibe is worried traditionally-bound play-mates could suddenly become enemies.
Three people have killed, and many others injured in fighting over a land dispute at Kpemilil, near Nakpanduri.
Mr. Abukari said the student group is arranging a meeting of traditional authorities in the area to discuss how to end the feud.
Ahead of the meeting, he wants National and Regional Security Councils to deploy more troops to restore and maintain law and order in the area.
