Ghana’s fastest rapper Sakordie who has won the hearts of many Ghanaians for being one of the best lyricist in the country now has also won the heart of Babs, president of Piono Music who happens to manager Hip hop and R&B super star Akon and Konvict Music.
In an interview with Drive Time host Bola Ray, Mr Babs said he saw Sarkodie’s video on YouTube and was impressed.
He said although he had worked with Ghanaian artistes like Ofori Amponsah, “He (Sarkodie) moved me from my chair, my own chair.”
He added that although some people don’t understand what artistes like Sean Paul actually say in their music, they are moved by their music and that he (Babs) was moved by Sarkodies’s music even though he didn't understand the meaning of the words.
He described Sakordie as an artiste who does not go off beat and said his flow and the beat were good.
“I don’t know him and I have never met him but I love his music. I want to meet him,” he added.
Sway, who is a Ghanaian but based in the United Kingdom was the first African to be signed on to Konvict Music and Babs says it is wonderful for them to sign on such a great talent (Sarkodie) from Ghana and says he has been looking forward to that for a very long time now.
Plans are underway for Konvict Music’s management and Duncwills Entertainment’s management managers of Sarkodie to meet and finalise the deal.
