Black Stars Coach Kwasi Appiah has been advised to revamp his team for the rest of the World Cup qualifiers or forget reaching his target of making it to the semi finals of the 2014 World Cup.
The Black Stars lost 1-0 to Zambia in their second World Cup qualifier game on Saturday at the Levy Mwanawasa stadium in Ndola after thrashing Lesotho 7-0 in their first game in Kumasi on June 1.
Ghana now would have to win all the remaining matches in group D to book a place in the next round of the qualifiers.
Ex-Black Stars goalkeeper Aboubakar Damba believes the transition in the Black Stars team should not be done drastically.
“We need some more experienced old guys and we have to re-examine ourselves and look at the constitution of the team,” he said.
He said “I will suggest we try to look back at John Mensah, John Painstil, Michael Essien, Asamoah Gyan and try convince Prince Boateng to come back.”
According to him “this will go a long way to help but if we do the transition drastically it might affect us.”
