A circuit court in Sunyani, has remanded 25-year old Kwadwo Kyere alias Razobia, in prison custody, for allegedly having anal sex with a 22 year-old lady in a bush.
The accused, who pleaded not guilty to the two charges of threat of death and unnatural carnal knowledge, will re-appear before the court on February two this year.
Prosecuting, Police Chief Inspector Baafi told the court, presided by Mr John Ekow Mensah that, the complainant, Fatima Abdulai, sells pineapple at Gyau farms, at Bafo Krom near Chiraa, where Kyere worked as a labourer.
He said on October 2 last year, the complainant went to buy pineapples from the farm but could not get any so she decided to buy oranges instead.
The prosecutor said the complainant engaged Kyere to pluck the oranges for her, and he charged her GH¢ 15, which includes carrying the oranges to the village.
After Kyere had finished plucking the oranges there was a heavy down pour so he took shelter under an oak tree and invited the complainant to join him.
When she joined Kyere, he asked her to have anal sex with him but she refused, and kyere threatened to kill her with a cutlass, the prosecutor added.
Chief Inspector Baafi said the complainant became frightened and Kyere forcibly had his way and ordered her to go home after the act.
He said the complainant on reaching the village told the people what had happened and the matter was immediately reported to the police but Kyere on hearing that the matter had been reported to the police fled the village.
Kyere was arrested on November four last year and was charged with the offences.
