After an illustrious, yet controversial career which saw him play the senior national team the Black Stars, Laryea Kingston has taken to counseling the youth to look up to God in all their endeavours.
The ace midfielder who was part of the once dreaded midfield quartet for the Black Stars, [which included Stephen Appiah, Michael Essien and Sulley Muntari] would be the guest speaker for a two day conference under the theme: "Your talent your God."
The October 11-12 conference is organised by the International Kingdom Worshippers Church based in Teshie, a suburb of Accra.
Laryea Kingston told Myjoyonline.com he would be speaking on talents and the need to have God at the centre of one's career.
Born and bred in Teshie, the Black Stars midfielder said his story is a huge inspiration to the youth, a story he would gladly share at the conference grounds.
Asked if he would go into ministry as a preacher man, Kingston said he is waiting for that call from God and he would honour it without hesitation.
Kingston was instrumental in Ghana's 2006 and 2010 World Cup qualification but was dropped on both occasions for the World Cup played in Germany and South Africa respectively.
He was accused of attacking Coach Milovan Rajevac after he dropped him from the South Africa World Cup squad, an allegation Laryea has vehemently dismissed.
Laryea Kingston said he is thankful to God for all that happened to him and his professional career which started at Great Olympics in the early 90s.
Kingston also played Accra Hearts of Oak before sojourning to Europe where he played Scottish side Hearts and other clubs in Turkey, Russia.
