The Member of Parliament for Manhyia, Dr Opoku Prempeh says president Mills will be held personally responsible for attempts to sabotage the NPP's interdenominational prayer session if he fails to sanction the Metro Mass Transit boss.
The New Patriotic Party Saturday accused Mr Maxwell Awuku of ochestrating a diabolical plan to frustrate the party's Sunday event by stopping Metro Mass buses from conveying people to the Essipong Stadium in Sekondi in the Western Region.
The Managing Director of the Matro Mass Transit allegedly ordered, without explanation, the Western Regional Manager of the company to refund to the NPP, money they had paid for 20 buses to convey their supporters to the event ground.
Speaking on Joy FM's news analysis Programme Saturday, an obviously livid Dr Prempeh said it was about time people stopped using the president's name for dubious purposes.
He claimed Mr Awuku had gone on radio justifying his decision by saying the NPP could not expect to have support from state institutions when they went about insulting the president.
Dr Prempeh said the Metro Mass boss needs to be reminded that the MMT was introduced by the NPP government under former president Kufuor and it was disguting that he should seek to do politics with it especially when the NPP duly paid for the services of the buses.
He said he would personally make the development an albatross on the neck of president Mills if the president fails to sanction Mr Awuku.
