Akorabea Nsor, a mason, who stole a mobile phone, valued at GH¢50.00 has been fined GH¢500.00 by the Akim Swedru Circuit Court.
The convict who pleaded not guilty would in default serve 36 months jail term.
Nsor first appeared before the court on May 5, for stealing eight slippers and a cash of GH¢80.00 and was granted bail but refused to reappear.
Police Chief Inspector Kwadwo Ahenkorah told the court presided over by Mr Kofi Akrowiah that the complainant, Madam Ishietu Isaah is a hairdresser who live with the convict at Asene Camp near Akim Oda.
He said on April 27, while the complainant was at work, Nsor managed to enter her room and made away with the eight slippers.
According to Chief Inspector Ahenkorah, on June 13 Nsor succeeded in entering Madam Ishietu's room again when she was having her bath and stole a mobile phone and GH¢80.00.
He said the complainant reported the theft to the Police who arrested the convict.
