The prestigious Milo U-13 Champions League is set for a grand return in December this year after a six-year hiatus caused by the COVID pandemic.
The tournament makes a comeback with new ambassadors and an expanded, more exciting structure aimed at giving young talents greater opportunities.
The launch at the Nestlé headquarters in Accra on Friday, November 14, 2025, featured the unveiling of a new logo and a trophy donated by football legend Abedi Pele from his illustrious collection.
The trophy was revealed by his son, Andre Ayew, Ghana’s most capped player, who joins the programme as an ambassador.

In his remarks, Ayew said he looks forward to helping unearth national stars.
"In front of fans, it's going to be enjoyable. Inshallah, hopefully we're going to get a few professional players out of it one day. But if not, it's still something incredible.
"Others came and did their part, so we need to also open the door for them, guide them, and that's why I'm here today."
In her address, Managing Director of Nestlé Ghana, Salome Azevedo, encouraged young talents to seize the opportunity but not neglect their education.
“To all the children participating in the tournament, I wish you the very best. Remember, football is a wonderful complement to your education, it enhances your development and helps you grow into responsible individuals in future,” she said, adding, “Embrace this journey, enjoy the game, have fun and let your passion shine!”
There were also virtual messages from Stephen Appiah, ambassador of the Milo U-13 Champions League who is away with the Black Stars in Japan, and Sports and Recreation Minister Kofi Adams.
Officials from the Sports Ministry, the Ghana Education Service, and the Ghana Football Association were present.
The national finals of the Milo U-13 Champions League will run from December 3 to 6, 2025, at Paa Joe Park in Kumasi, with representatives from all 16 regions.
