The fate of the General Secretary of the People’s National Convention,(PNC) Bernard Mornah in contesting the party’s chairmanship position during the December 12 national executive elections still hangs in the balance.
Three PNC members have filed a petition seeking the disqualification of Mr. Mornah.
According to them a cheque he presented for his filing fees and annual dues were bounced by a bank.
The National Youth Organizer, Abu Ramadan told Joy News, a final decision will be taken on the matter on Thursday.
"The petitioners have been appealed to step down as a family because as a family we believe we could resolve the issue internlly," he said.
He added Mornah has apologised for the gaffe and has expressed his willingness to correct the anomaly.
Abu Ramadan said the National leader Alhaji Ramadan will announce the final decision of the party by next week,
He is also hoping a decision will be taken to withdraw the decision against Mornah.
