The Christ the King Hall, near the Flagstaff House in Accra, was last Tuesday converted into a television studio for the filming of the first two performance episodes of the ongoing MTN Hit-Maker II programme.
The MTN Hit-Maker II series started airing on August 4 on Metro TV, Skyy TV, Multi TV and GTV with activities leading up to the selection of the 12 final contestants.
That has given the contestants some breathing space to adjust to the Hit-Maker house at New Achimota where they have moved into residence.
The contestants are Abigail Antwi, Albert Buabeng, Stephen ‘Kofi Korea’ Kim, Olevya Aba, Fiifi Sey Armah, Priznerz (Duo), Jamilatu Mohammed, Miguel Oduro Daniels, Nana Adobea, Hussein Musah, Koo Ntakara and Gilbert Bossu.
They were welcomed to the house by Ivan Quashigah of Farmhouse company which is producing the show.
Rules governing their stay were explained to them and were availed of schedules for workshops, sound studio sessions and days for filming of performances.
The contestants also had the chance to raise concerns they had about the schedules and their stay in the house.
“They all look determined to put up their best,” said judge Bessa Simons. “We are also eager to help them in the best way we can.”
MTN Hit-Maker II airs on Sundays at 8.30pm on Multi TV.
