Dominic Oduro's Ghana debut lasted just 17 minutes on Wednesday night against Chile but his work-rate has won him praise from Sulley Muntari.
The Chicago Fire attacker was replaced by goal scorer Richard Mpong on a cold chilly night at the PPL Park in Philadelphia as the match ended 1-1.
Despite Oduro showing no visible signs of an injury, Muntari, who played a crucial role in setting up a wonderful pass for the the game's opener had words of encouragement for the debutant.
"I hope he'll continue to contribute to our national team. He is getting to be well known, because he is a very good player," Muntari said.
Ghana were in the lead until the 75th minute, when midfielder Matias Fernandez scored from a penalty to secure a draw for the much stronger Chile at the final whistle.
Muntari says they anticipated a difficult game against a good side but gave off their best.
"Chile is a very good side that plays very good football, so we knew what we were coming to face," said Muntari
"But we did well in the first half and managed to keep them off the board."
