Menaye Muntari, wife of Black Stars midfielder Sulley Muntari has made a cash donation to Die Hard Supporters Union.
The amount, undisclosed, is part of efforts by the model and winner of Miss Universe, Ghana, to ensure supporters troop to Equatorial Guinea and Gabon to support the Black Stars.
Football fans have been disappointed with government’s failure to fund this year’s trip with the President of the Nationwide Supporters Union, Aziz Haruna Futah saying it will be difficult for the Stars to bring home the AFCON trophy for the first time in 30 years without the teeming support from fans.
Menaye Muntari hoped the amount will add to the pool of resources by Die Hard Supporters Union to fly the fans to the venue of the tournament to cheer the Stars on to victory.
The Black Stars will play debutants Botswana in their Group D opener on Tuesday.
