The district employment coordinator of the National Youth Employment Programme for the North Tongu district, Tavis Avadetsi has been interdicted.
The district coordinator of the Youth Employment programme is alleged to be behind the extortion of monies from job seekers in about four areas in the district including Mafi Avakpedome, Juapong, Mafi Kumase and Adidome.
A statement issued by the National Coordinator said preliminary findings into his activities has also been referred to the Bureau of National Investigations (BNI) for further probe.
The interdiction comes after Joy News investigations established widespread extortion of money from prospective job seekers in the district.
Meanwhile the National Coordinator has directed all district employment coordinators to emboss all registration forms with the inscription
