The New Patriotic Party (NPP) says it cannot appoint enemies to run its government.
It also described the assertion by the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) that the Akufo-Addo-led administration is running a family and friends government, ss baseless.
Reacting to claims by the NDC that President Akufo-Addo is running a family and friends government, the National Youth Organiser of NPP, Henry Nana Boakye, who is popularly called Nana B, said the NPP government is not about to appoint enemies.
According to him, people appointed to serve under the Akufo-Addo-led administration are qualified and competent people who deserve where they had been put to serve, Graphic.com has reported.
Addressing a press conference at the party's head office in Accra [Wednesday, November 6, 2019], Nana B said out of the over 51 names that the NDC alleged during a recent press conference that are friends and family relations of the President, 33 of them have no family ties with the President.
He said, granted that even if the names alleged to be family and friends of the president were true, none had been given any treasure belonging to the state than what President Mahama did.
According to him, President Mahama gave the country's bauxite resources to his younger brother just five days to the end of his administration.
