Awudome Senior High School has once again demonstrated their consistency in the National Science and Maths Quiz (NSMQ), advancing to the one-eighth stage after an impressive performance in the preliminary contest.
The Tsito-based school finished with 46 points, well ahead of Akumfi Ameyaw SHTS with 28 points, and Vakpo SHS with 13 points.

Though Awudome scored 3 out of 10 in the Problem of the Day — just behind Vakpo’s 4 and ahead of Akumfi’s 1 — they were dominant across the remaining rounds, maintaining their lead to seal the qualification in style.
This latest triumph adds to Awudome’s growing NSMQ legacy. In 2024, they reached the one-eighth stage but were eliminated by Prempeh College, scoring 33 points against the Kumasi powerhouse’s 64.

In 2023, Awudome impressed in the regional qualifiers, scoring a perfect 10 out of 10 in the Problem of the Day and notching 48 points in their contest.
The Volta Region representatives continue to build a reputation as one of the region’s most competitive science and maths teams, showing steady progress with every edition of the national championship.
