The Office of the Special Prosecutor (OSP) has declared Ernest Darko Akore, a former Chef de Cabinet (Technical Advisor) at the Finance Ministry, wanted over his alleged involvement in corruption-related offences.
In a public notice issued on Wednesday, July 16, 2025, the OSP stated that Mr. Akore is being sought in connection with an ongoing investigation into the Revenue Assurance Contract between the Ghana Revenue Authority (GRA) and Strategic Mobilization Limited (SML).

The wanted notice reveals that Mr. Akore, 67 years old, is possibly a dual Ghanaian-American national, having held an American passport in previous years.
Authorities believe he may be hiding in one of several countries, including the United States, the United Kingdom, Hong Kong, or South Africa.
The OSP is urging the public to assist in locating Mr. Akore and has provided dedicated WhatsApp hotlines 0554494499 and 0554484488 for tip-offs and credible information about his whereabouts.
According to the statement, an arrest warrant for Mr. Akore was issued by the High Court’s Criminal Division under the case title Republic v. Ernest D. Akore.
