The Office of the Special Prosecutor (OSP) has published an updated list of high-profile ongoing corruption-related prosecutions, as part of its commitment to transparency and accountability in Ghana’s justice system.
The list, made public on Thursday, features seven active cases involving current and former public officials, business executives, and corporate entities.
Notable among them is the case of Republic v. Mustapha Abdul-Hamid & 9 Others, which is currently at the plea hearing stage.
Other high-profile individuals facing prosecution include Sumaila Abdul-Rahman, former Northern Development Authority CEO; Ibrahim Sessah, a public procurement official; Charles C. N. O. Bissue, former Secretary to the Inter-Ministerial Committee on Illegal Mining; and Adjenim Boateng Adjei, former PPA boss, whose case has been in court since 2022.
The OSP has also confirmed that the case involving Alexander Kwabena Sarfo-Kantanka is currently at the appeal stage.
