The Patriotic Youth Movement for Change has organized a health screening and door to door campaign at Weija-Gbawe constituency.
The volunteer group under the National Youth Wing of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) did this with the parliamentary candidate of the area, Tina Mensah on Saturday, July 23.
The group brought on board doctors, nurses and health care assistants from various hospitals across Accra. The health screening exercise was organized in response to a plea made by the people for access to health care services.

They bemoaned the high cost of health care, as the NHIS card no longer guarantees free medical care and medication.
Dozens thronged the venue for the event to be screened and treated with medication for conditions such as Malaria, High Blood Pressure, Anaemia and Cold.

The health team also set up a breast examination centre where women were screened and also taught to do self-examination. There was also a one-on-one consultation on reproductive health.

The group assured the constituents a vote for the NPP’s 2016 Presidential Candidate, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo is a vote for development and transparent leadership.

They therefore urged all to vote en masse for Akufo- Addo and the NPP parliamentary candidates on December 7 to put an end to “the incompetent Mahama-led government.”
While the health screening was ongoing, the group also embarked on a door to door campaign in the surrounding areas.
The NPP parliamentary candidate for Weija-Gbawe, Tina Mensah expressed her appreciation to the volunteers for the health screening and vote canvassing exercise.

She was overwhelmed by the enthusiasm and dedication of the group, and she was confident that the event had made a lasting impression on the constituents.
She reiterated the need to vote out the NDC government on December 7 because Ghanaians deserve better.
