The National Executives of the Pope John Senior High School and Minor Seminary Old Boys Association (POJOBA) have congratulated Dr Edward Omane Boamah on his appointment as Minister for Defence.
As part of their visit, the group extended a special invitation to Dr Boamah to serve as the Special Guest of Honour at the school’s upcoming Speech and Prize Giving Day scheduled for June 2025.
In a Facebook post on Thursday, 17 April, Dr Boamah shared details of the visit, expressing his gratitude and pride in being recognised by his alma mater.
“Yesterday, after a meeting with the representatives of Ward Coordinators of Greater Accra NDC, I had another privileged congratulatory visit from the Old Boys of Pope John Senior High School and Minor Seminary (POJOBA National Executives),” he wrote.
He noted that the engagement went beyond pleasantries, involving a fruitful discussion on the future of POJOSS and the institution’s enduring legacy.
“We deliberated extensively on POJOSS, our alma mater, while recalling the numerous achievements of our great institution that has produced many great men,” Dr Boamah stated.
Dr Boamah warmly accepted the invitation to serve as Special Guest of Honour at the forthcoming ceremony, expressing appreciation to the Headmaster, Rev. Fr. Ohene, and the POJOBA Executives for their visit.
He concluded with a heartfelt message: “May our and your alma mater (‘nourishing mother’) flourish!”
