The police said on Thursday that its confidential crime fighters number - 18555 - was now open to subscribers of both MTN and Vodafone.
The police said in a statement signed by Superintendent Kwesi Ofori, Director of Public Affairs, that subscribers of the two mobile networks could therefore call and volunteer information pertaining to crime for prompt response.
It said the police would also continue to receive information on telephone numbers 030-2773695 and 030-2773906.
"The Police Service wishes to assure the general public that it will continue to ensure that Ghanaians enjoy a peaceful atmosphere to enable them to go about their economic activities without fear from criminals," the statement said.
