The Youth Directorate of the Progressive People’s Party (PPP) will on Saturday, June 18, 2016, hold its maiden National Youth Conference at the South Dayi Constituency in the Volta Region.
The Conference which is themed “Winning election 2016: the Role of the Progressive Youth” is aimed at sensitizing and getting the youth of the party to adopt such vigorous campaign tactics to ensure the PPP does better in the region.
A statement issued by the Youth Directorate copied Myjoyonline says the party is poised to unseat the governing National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the Volta Region.
The Directorate argues it will embark on a door-to-door and a village-to-village campaign in Peki, its township, and environs to unsettle the government in its “worldbank.”
The Conference is expected to start at 9 a.m. and ends at 1 p.m. and see the following in attendance, PPP National officers, Regional Youth Organizers, Zonal Progressive Youth Movement (PYM) Coordinators and Representative from each PYM.
All Constituency Youth Organizers are also expected to participate in the programme.
