President John Evans Atta Mills has appointed an 11-member Taskforce to provide recommendations for victims of last Sunday's floods.
A press statement issued in Accra today and signed by the Head of Communications at the Presidency Koku Anyidoho named Senior Presidential Advisor, Commodore Steve Obimpeh, as Chairman of the Committee.
"The Task Force [is] to come up with recommendations beyond the immediate support from NADMO, for victims of the recent floods," it said.
The statement said the Taskforce is expected to submit its Report by 9th July, 2010.
Other members of the Task Force are: Joseph Nii Laryea Afotey-Agbo, Minister of State at the Presidency; Nii Armah Ashietey, Greater Accra, Regional Minister; Mrs. Ama Benyiwa-Doe, Central Regional Minister; Joe Gidisu, Minister for Roads and Highways; Alban Bagbin, Minster for Water Resources Works & Housing.
The rest are J. Yileh Chireh, Local Government Minister; Martin Amidu, Interior Minister; Fiifi Kwetey, Deputy Finance Minister; Mr. Kosivi Degbor, National Security; and Mr. Kofi Portuphy, NADMO, National Coordinator
