Reference is made to a story titled “Bedridden James Tetteh Nartey Needs Financial Support for Medical Bills”, which aired on JoyNews, and was subsequently uploaded to our social media platforms on May 18th, 2024.
This story was aired on humanitarian grounds as part of The Multimedia Group’s Corporate Social Responsibility to galvanize support for persons in need.
Following the publication of the story, the Assemblies of God Church, Ghana, has in a rejoinder stated that the “Apostle is not a pastor of the Church but has received support from some of its branches on the basis of Christian brotherliness.”
JoyNews wishes to clarify that, at no point was it stated in our report that Apostle James Tetteh Nartey had been abandoned by the Assemblies of God Church, Ghana.
The only reference made to the church in the report was the fact that Apostle James Tetteh Nartey was once with the Assemblies of God Church per his narrative.
JoyNews only set out to galvanise public support for a helpless man and did not seek to smear the image of the Assemblies of God Church, Ghana.
