A former headmaster of Winneba Secondary School (WINNESEC), Mr. G. E. Yarney, has appealed to the Central Regional Co-ordinating Council to help the school procure a new bus to ease the transportation problem facing the school.
Mr. Yarney also extended his gratitude to individuals, past students association of the school, organizations that have over the years contributed and continue to offer a helping hand to the school
to facilitate its development.
He expressed his appreciation to the Board of Governors of the school for their excellent counselling which, in no doubt, had contributed greatly to its achievements.
Mr. Yarney made the appeal during interactions with the press at Winneba, during which he commended the Head, Mrs. Cecilia Kwakye Cofie, who succeeded him a couple of years ago.
In a chat with newsmen Mr. Yarney described Mrs. Cofie's achievements in the past two years as highly commendable and very appreciative.
“I really feel proud of what my successor has chalked up so far, academically, games and other fields of endeavour to improve upon what I left her in order to raise the image of the school further high, and sincerely hope that she would not allow complacency to set in her way of continued progress,” Mr. Yarney added.
Mr. Yarney advised Mrs. Cofie to further develop and maintain the cordial relations between the management, lecturers, workers and students representative council of the institution to strengthen her administration.
He appealed to all and sundry to let hard work continue to be their hallmark in their day-to-day assignments, adding that, it is the only way they could carve a much bigger fame for themselves, the school and the Ghana Education Service (GES).
