Ronaldinho is one of a number of high-profile players to have been included in Brazil boss Mano Menezes' provisional list of players for this summer's Olympic Games in London.
As per the International Olympic Committee's guidelines, the Selecao coach has unveiled a 52-strong list of candidates for the 18 available berths in his squad.
The inclusion of Ronaldinho is bound to raise eyebrows in light of the player's underwhelming form for current club Flamengo but he will be considered for one of three spots designated for players over the age of 23 alongside a host of other big names, including AC Milan defender Thiago Silva, Barcelona right back Dani Alves and Inter goalkeeper Julio Cesar.
Milan striker Alexandre Pato, Real Madrid left back Marcelo and Manchester United defender Rafael have also been included, as have Brazil-based stars Neymar, Lucas and Leandro Damiao.
