The SAC Super Volleyball Championship was launched, with 16 teams set to battle it out for national glory at the Borteyman Sports Complex from November 16–23, 2025.
The ceremony, held on Thursday, October 16, at the GHOne TV studios, was attended by CEOs, leaders, sponsors, and volleyball enthusiasts.
This year’s tournament will feature 16 elite volleyball clubs, including teams from Nigeria, Burkina Faso, and Benin, alongside top Ghanaian teams coming together to compete for the ultimate prize.
Chief Director of the Ministry of Sports and Recreation, Wilhelmina Asamoah, speaking on behalf of the ministry, said the government is focusing on promoting and developing volleyball in the country.

"A key focus for us is to developing local content" she said.
"The tournament offer a vital avenue for our young athletes to showcase their skills. And the Ministry is dedicated in supporting young talent to nurture their skills."
"Looking ahead I will like to highlight the importance of the upcoming national sports funding legislation. Once enacted this fund will generate revenue that can be reinvested into our sports ecosystem supporting federation finances and reducing the burden on the government purse".
"Through SVC (Supper Volleyball Championship) I believe that national talents have been raised and today when u talk about Volleyball on the continent that story cannot be completed without mentioning the name of Ghana," President of the Volleyball Federation George Tetteh Esq added.

The event will be a seven-day program starting from November 16 with the final set for November 23, 2025.
