Deputy General Secretary of the opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP) has asked his Second Vice Chairman Sammy Crabbe to leave the party if he feels uncomfortable.
“Sammy Crabbe’s absence or presence will not affect the fortunes of the party and so if he is not comfortable in it, he should leave the party" Obiri Boahene told Okay FM Thursday.
He was responding to Sammy Crabbe who has vowed not contest for any position in the largest opposition party again if the decision to suspend National Chairman, Paul Afoko is not reversed.
Sammy Crabbe has been a faithful supporter of Paul Afoko and General Secretary Kwabena Agyepong since large sections of the grassroot began agitating for their removal from office.
He has made it clear he does not recognize his First-Vice chairman, Freddie Blay who is the acting chairman of the party

But according to Nana Obiri Boahen, Sammy Crabbe is only taking advantage of the party to enrich himself and subsequently make it unpopular.
He indicated, “(Mr. Crabbe) is not the only person to interpret what is good or not for the party”.
He noted that the NPP is ready to wrestle power from the Mahama-led government “and will not pay attention to detractors like Sammy Crabbe for trying to tarnish the image of the party.
“I together with other executives don’t need any tutorials from him" he dismissed Sammy Crabbe.
