This is an achievement that recognises her commitment to engaging staff in ways that align with the company’s strategy.
Her approach ensures employees are not only informed about internal and global activities, but also actively involved, with their achievements and contributions to the company celebrated and highlighted.
This recognition highlights Sandra’s strong leadership in shaping and elevating internal communication at Karpowership Ghana.
She has championed a workplace culture where clear, consistent, and meaningful communication keeps employees aligned and connected to the company’s mission, vision, and values.
Her work reflects her belief that employees are an organisation’s first and most important stakeholders—deserving of clarity, connection, and shared purpose.
In 2024, Sandra was listed among Ghana’s Top 10 Women in PR, a testament to her influence in the profession and her ability to position communication as a strategic driver of organisational success.
Her impact extends beyond internal platforms. She has led several external communication and community engagement initiatives—including Powering Communities Through Education, The Girl Power Project, and the Karpowership Mentorship Programme—all of which have strengthened Karpowership Ghana’s reputation as a socially responsible and community-focused organisation.
These initiatives contributed to the company winning Best Community Relations Programme and PR Company of the Year – Energy and Utilities at the same awards ceremony.
Reflecting on the recognition, Sandra said, “Communication is most effective when it connects people to purpose. I believe in keeping our teams informed, celebrating their contributions, and creating a culture where everyone feels part of our journey.
"This award is a testament to the power of engagement and the incredible talent we have at Karpowership.”
Sandra’s professional journey has long been marked by excellence.
She was named Sustainability Champion by Women in Mining and Energy in 2021 and received the Karpowership Ace of Initiative Award in 2018 for her innovative contributions to the company’s communication efforts.
Taken together, these achievements reflect a communicator whose dedication continues to elevate her organisation and the PR profession.
Her recognition as Internal Communicator of the Year reinforces the growing importance of strategic communication in today’s corporate landscape.
