SIC Life Insurance LTD has successfully held its 2025 Sika Plan (microinsurance) Retreat aimed at sensitising staff on the enhanced Sika Plan product and aligning teams with the company’s strategic direction for the coming years.
The retreat, which brought together management and key staff from across the country, was graced by the Managing Director, Board of Directors, and other senior executives of the company. The gathering provided an important platform for learning, collaboration, and charting new growth strategies for SIC Life’s microinsurance product, Sika Plan (Okum Ka).
Participants were taken through a series of training sessions and presentations covering critical topics such as the Sika Plan Product Launch, Digital Transformation of Sika Plan, and an overview of susu products from a Rural Bank Perspective. Other key topics included Microfinance and Digital Transformation – Failures and Successes, Relaunching Sika Plan, and the Marketing and Communications Roadmap.
There were also extensive discussions on new dimensions for Sika Plan, focusing on how innovation, customer engagement, and technology can be leveraged to reposition the product for greater market impact. The sessions further explored strategic insights, key takeaways, and action plans to ensure the successful rollout and sustainability of the enhanced Sika Plan.
In his remarks, the Managing Director, Ing. Solomon Twum Barima (Esq), commended staff for their commitment to excellence and urged them to take ownership of the enhanced product, emphasizing that the Sika Plan remains a cornerstone of SIC Life’s mission to provide accessible and secure life insurance solutions for all Ghanaians. He emphasized that the enhanced Sika Plan represents the company’s forward-thinking approach to meeting the evolving needs of clients in an increasingly digital financial landscape.
Dr. Jonathan Asante Otchere, Ph.D, a board member who represented the Board Chairman of SIC Life, commended management for the successful organization of the retreat and emphasized the Board’s support for the company’s ongoing transformation agenda.
The retreat concluded with renewed enthusiasm among participants to drive the company’s vision and transformation agenda forward, leveraging innovation and teamwork to reinforce SIC Life’s position as a leader in the life insurance industry.
